Tanzania Gives Back Awards Launched by EU

 Download NOMINATION FORMS below!!

The first ever Tanzanian Volunteer awards campaign dubbed ‘Tanzania Gives Back’ were launched this past Monday night at the Residence of the EU Delegation Ambassador, Tim Clarke.
The Awards celebrate the important role that volunteering plays in the society and award Tanzanian and expatriate volunteers who give their time and skills for free to develop communities in need.

There are countless unsung heroes living across Tanzania and yet we often associate “giving back” as an action of a donor or part of a corporate social responsibility but in reality, there are many Tanzanian’s who give their precious time to contribute to positive change without any monetary reward.

Do you know someone that helps others in the community? Someone that spends their time for free improving the lives of others? We want to hear more about these people and you can help us learn about their story by nominating them for Tanzania Gives Back 2011 national Awards. This year 8 categories for the Tanzania Gives Back platform will mark 50 years of Independence by highlighting unsung heroes from across Tanzania. Complete the nomination form by 23rd May 2011 and tell us about someone who you know that has done something amazing, outstanding and giving towards others.

THE AWARD SHOW OBJECTIVES
- To identify and produce a TV program featuring 32 ‘unsung’ heroes in Tanzania that contributes greatly to the welfare
  of others in Tanzania.
- To produce a top quality TV series that is emotive, inspiring and brings Tanzanian’s together for a good cause.
- To engage the people of Tanzania by voting for their favorite ‘Tanzania Gives Back’ nominee in each of the 8
  categories through interactive text messaging.
